The Care Merseyside choir is a small friendly group of people from the local area who all love to sing. The group began singing together back in March 2020, starting as a zoom group during the pandemic. The group now meet at Towerhill Community Centre in Kirkby on a Friday at 10am – 11am. The group is completely free to attend.
Over the past 12 months, the choir has performed at Kirkby Library, Dementia Care Centres, Sheltered Accommodation homes and most recently they have become recording artists.
On Friday 6th December 2024 we partnered up with The Big Condo Academy and recorded one of the groups favourite songs. The Group were spilt into two recording groups and made their way one at a time into the recording studio. First to sing, was Bettina, Trisha, Ruth, Pauline and Sue. Pauline is 82 years old and said this was something she had dreamed of and couldn’t believe she was there to record. The second group, Carmel, Frank, Robbie and Olly added their vocals in the second recording session.
Roy from the Big Condo Academy worked his magic on the recordings, bringing the voices together beautifully. The group had an amazing time and all commented on what a great experience it was.
Thank you to Roy and Chase for their support and guidance on a magical day for the choir and a huge well done to our wonderful singers.
