Celebrate social prescribing at our summer solstice themed charity ball on June 8th in Liverpool!
About this Event
Care Merseyside is a one of a kind charity. Founded in 2009 by Knowsley GP, Dr Faisal Maassarani, Care Merseyside helps the local community to feel empowered to look after their health and well-being.
Our objectives are:
- to enhance education and training
- to relieve poverty and financial hardship
- to promote good health and well-being
- to provide recreational facilities for the local community
…in the interests of social welfare and any other charitable pursuit.
Care Merseyside provides a broad programme of social prescribing initiatives with the support of GP referrals from the Maassarani Group of General Practice and self referrals from the community or other third sector organisations.
Our Summer Solstice Fundraiser event will take place at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool City Centre from 7pm – midnight on Sat 8th June.
It is a chance for people to come together and celebrate all that social prescribing stands for and is able to achieve in our communities. On the evening we will be joined by our clients and social prescribing partners who will speak about how social prescribing has changed their lives for the better.
Tickets are priced at £75 per person which includes a delicious four course meal, champagne reception, fantastic raffle prizes and top notch entertainment. All proceeds from ticket purchases and contributions on the evening will be donated to Care Merseyside. This money will directly impact the lives of people within the local community through social prescribing activities.
